Car Donation: Noble Cause

In the US, car donation is one of the noblest ways of giving to charity. People have a lot of philanthropic intentions and would like to support charitable causes. One of these ways is to give away vehicles (cars or vans or trucks) that they no longer are using to charities. These charities would use the proceeds from the sale of these cars for their particular charities.

In the US there are many charities that are church as well as non-church not for profit organizations where car donation is an acceptable way of donating to a particular cause. The charity could be working for cancer patients, orphans, abandoned and battered women, the disabled and the old and helpless. In fact nowadays charities are meant to cater not only to humans but also for helpless, wounded animals and birds that need urgent help. The world has so many challenges facing it, especially in these tough times of economic recession that any help is mot welcome and car donation does help in quite a significant way.

Every drop adds up to an ocean and one must not underestimate the opportunity to aid charity that is brought through the means of car donation in adding to the coffers of charitable institutions. There are quite a few people who think that they would give only when they have a million or better, millions of dollars. That is why they wait a lifetime, because they may not actually ever have a million dollars to give.

A more pragmatic way of giving is if they started giving with what they have and then increase their giving as and when they have more. For instance, they could buy a new car every 7-8 years and not know what to do with the old car. This old car can be given away through car donation so that the charity may sell the car and get whatever are the proceeds for its charitable cause. This is a helpful and very practical way of supporting charities.

At the same time, car donation also helps people who are unable to buy new cars to get older cars at a deal. For instance it could be a single mom who has one car for going to office and wants a second car to give to her teenage son. She doesn't want and cannot afford a brand new car for her son as it is not within her means. It is here that a car sold by a charitable institution as part of getting proceeds from car donation gives her any opportunity to make good her dreams and give wings to her desire. Car donation has become a very legitimate way that allows people to become part of the community and contribute to causes that are dear to heart. They would anyway have sent the old car to the dump, so why not give the car away for some good cause? There are also a lot of people who donate cars that are in fairly good condition so that the car my be actively run or used by the charity for its use.
